Up until around 2001, I was in the dark about the ideals represented in our Constitution. That is to say, I was like most “Americans” (if you will indulge me the obviously inappropriate label). When I filed for divorce, and the Illinois courts began to arbitrarily take away my rights to my beautiful daughter and my money without cause, I became a quick study. Morally, I knew what they were doing was wrong. There was no decency at all – simply willful contempt for the Rule of Law. Continuing to reinforce why Dr. Paul is the ONLY honest man in our ENTIRE government system. To learn more about what a Republic means, and why America is NOT a democracy (contrary to popular belief), you need look no further than the most definitive explication of the Constitution itself (the Federalist Papers), specifically Federalist Paper Number 10. As James Madison, known as the "Father of the Constitution" said: "Democracy is the most vile form of government.... democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention, have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property, and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths." Ignore it at your peril.

Though there have been instances where his words indicated a moral individual and a competent constitutionalist, he appears to be just another government stooge; e.g., see his dissent in the U.S. Supreme Court's decision that declared Section 7 of the Military Commissions Act of 2006 unconstitutional).

The nonsense that Hollywood puts out now-a-days isn't typically even worthy of comment, much less viewing. But Aaron Russo has produced a documentary that is THE most important movie of the century. It released in Summer, 2006, but I was able to see a prescreening. (My apologies again Aaron for getting us lost on the way there :-) If you see only one movie this year, make sure this is it. While I was growing up, my sister Lisa Lovett-Mann (remember the girl at the end of Life as a House?) had cancer (diagnosed around age 5). My father kept a business running (sometimes barely) to pay the doctors and solely support his family, while spending almost every waking moment at Children’s Memorial Hospital. His daughter lived to be 32 years old. That is what is meant by love being earned.
